Quicky grinder pedestal

After learning a new way to de-burr knives on the training course using a set of polishing mops

I wasn’t overly happy with using a grinder with polishing mops on a bench so

TO THE FAB SHOP!!

Found an old wheel and proceeded to put two holes in the tyre. Hoover in one hole and a funnel in the other and fill it with 2 bags of dry sand by sucking the dry sand in.

Nice piece of old I beam, quick plate across the top with two captive bolts

Result is one grinder pedestal with a nice rubber foot which removes all the vibration from the mops which never fully balance.

Only downside is it appears to weigh as much as a collapsed star so it isn’t the easiest to move about, but it won’t move when you are using the buffing wheels.

Might add a slot for a forklift tine
