Postage pain

If you’ve read my page on clipper blade care you will see that I think that needle nosed bottles make lubricating clipper blades vastly easier. As the needle bottle allows you to put small amounts of oil exactly where you want it.

I also belive that alot of groomers don’t lube their blades as the oil comes in a big bottle that has a large tip that pukes a load of oil out in a big splog.

To this end i decided to slightly expand the offering of the blade push so that i could offer for a wee bit extra an needle nosed bottle.

So to this end I purchased 50 off 30ml bottles from china as I use a 30ml bottle when assembling blades and i really like it.

These bottles cost me not very much so it would be a great plan for everyone.

UNTIL

I tried to post one

They have an OD of 30mm and the large letter I send out the blade pushes as has a max width of 25mm

This bumps it up to a small parcel in Royal mail

A large letter is £1.45 and small parcel is £4.45 which is a significant increase in costs.

back to the drawing board

So i’ve purchased 10 of 10ml bottles from a UK supplier and I can post these as a large letter

So in the next couple of days i’ll be offering the blade push on it’s own or as a package with a 10ml needle bottle, just the bottle no oil in it.

As to the 50 odd 30ml bottles?

I’ll be sticking them in with mail order sharpening as a nice freebie as well as throwing some at local customers
